Putting together a 521
with D3 heads and am wondering what the CC of a D3 head is. I did a search and didn't find anything. I want to end up with a compression ratio of around 9 to 1 so if a blower ever comes my way for the price I LIKE to pay I can bolt it on without changing pistons. I already have the heads ready to bolt on. I have a hydraulic cam and lifters, Edlebrock RPM intake a 4.3 crank and 8 good but used 6.7 H beam rods and a 950 proform carb.. So before I order some pistons I need to know how much of a dish its going to take to get the desired CR. The heads worked good several years ago on my fairlane with a 466 in it as it went a best of 11.98 at around 108 mph. I just save everything and now have decided to put another one together as a complete engine rather than sell all my stuff piecemeal for little to nothing.
