All the hard work is paying off finally

It's been a long off season and lots of work to get my car ready. Finally got it out this weekend and had a blast with it. Went Friday night to my home track for some TNT. Track was junk as it most usually is and it was hard to get a handle on the car. Best pass Friday was a 5.77@122.9. Car never hooked up so we stopped before it went bad and decided to go ahead and drive over to I57 in Benton, IL on Saturday.

Game on.......Benton is real cool place. First pass off the trailer car spun bad and went 5.78@128.5. We were told their MPH would be about 4 fast from anywhere else. Made an air psi adjustment and leaned the carb down some. Next pass car went best 60' of 1.298 and [email=5.67@128]5.67@128[/email]. I was pumped to finally get it in the 60's.

Last time run the car left hard packing the wheels 12" still spinning the tires and went 1.258 60' and [email=5.63@128]5.63@128[/email]
Put a 5.63 on it for first round. Air still sucked and figured no way the car would pick up. I was a tad late on the tree and broke out trying to catch the guy. Went [email=5.61@128]5.61@128[/email].
Bought back in with the soul purpose of going 50's.....LOL!!!!
Made a slight air psi adjustment and the car didn't like it much. Driver did his job with a .005 light but car left spinning more than it had been so it only ran a .63. Packed up and went home very happy and satisfied that all the hard work and frustration is starting to pay off.
