Made my 1st 160+mph pass

Was qualifying for B/Gas at the HotRod Reunion. Had 50lbs. added and pulled 5* timing out trying to slow it down to 8.50. It ran a 8.480 @ 161.02. Won 1st round with a 8.519 @ 161.02 in the heat on Friday,so got to go on to 2nd round Saturday morning. Decided to add another 25lbs. for the cooler weather,and bit me in the ass. Had the Split window Vette by .0017 on the tree, I go 8.523 @ 160.82 and he goes 8.500 and takes the win by .007.I think without the extra 25lbs. it would have been dead on too.Then we make the turn off and the Vette caught on fire and couldn't make the next round!!!

Congrats Dan I also had my fastest 1/8 and 1/4 in mph yesterday with a slipping trans 102.73 in the 1/8 and 127.73 in the 1/4 but not the best ETs

Shoulda left the Zoomies on it!

Sounds like y'all had fun. Nice results!
Hated to not go...but had to make that choice to help out a real good customer and make a $$ or 2.

If I ever get through this roofing season I'm gonna drive out there and watch you guys race. Hopefully this fall! Glad to hear you still have the ol zoomies on her .

What mph would you run if you didn't pull 5 degrees of timing and took out the 50lbs?  High 160s?

B/Gas out here is 8.60, which I will run in September.

I'm not sure Paul.I never ran it without weight or timing pulled. I knew it was going to be way under the index. I knew it had to run 5.42 in the 1/8 to hit the 8.50 ,so I tried to hit it 1st shot. I'd say it may go 164?

5.30 1/8 will hit 165 pretty easy in the 1/4
