Dave, that's awesome footage. I went to every one of the sportsnationals back then. What great memories. Seeing Randal Boles' interview was classic!! What a great way to start my day! Now, I'm all jacked up about working in my hotrod today.Thanks for the motivation

Modified eliminator was awesome.
The 1976 Sportsnationals is the event where I got hooked on drag racing.
It took me 37 years later to be able to run at the Sportsnationals.

That is truly DRacing at it's finest. If they still televised it like that today, I would tune in.

No kidding Rick.... It's a damn shame its come down to being only a top fuel / funny car show, the NHRA / IHRA has killed itself and the sport.

Yes Rick ,he fell down in the middle of the street....looked like he got slammed by his ponytail,but no one was near him when he got up
