I found a complete carb to oil pan 460 from a 1969 Lincoln with C6 transmission. Is this a good block (don't know the casting number yet) to do a stroke kit in and install aftermarket 4 bolt main caps in? I haven't seen much on here regarding pre-1970 blocks, but I haven't been around the site long. What about the heads on this engine, do they have any performance potential? Wanting to build a power plant for my mustang.

I'd say get casting #'s, then you'll know what you're starting with. But it's a safe bet you can make power with your parts, as long as they're usable.  Lots of folks here make more power with stock stuff than I do with a longer crank and aftermarket heads. Good place to learn.
