Need some help getting down the track
Heavy 72 Ranchero 3820 with driver.
Stock front end w/90/10s no sway bar
Southside lower bars
air bags
adjustable rear sway bar
QA1 rear shocks 50/50
M/T #3055 10.2 x 28 x 15 slicks
545 c.i. 11.2 to 1 comp
726/726 lift solid roller cam
1050 Dominator on Victor manifold,
Early Blue Thunder heads 80 cc SCJ exhaust port
MSD7al
4:88 gears
C6 foot brake w/3800 EDGE convetor.
Guys I'm new to this and the car goes 11.1@119 in a 1/4 with 4.30 gears. I'm running at the only open track which is 1/8 mile and the car pulls to the left and will unload the tires mid track . Heres a link to some passes. Open to suggestions and Humor. I am looking at the alignment next.

Was the track prepped at all? Looked like you were spinning quite a bit?

Re: Need some help getting down the track
Hard to tell without better video, (sun glare & camera could be a little closer to the car, or zoomed in a little more) but it kinda looks to me like the rear suspension is kinda stiff, or maybe something is in a bind. The rear suspension doesn't really seem to do anything at the hit (separate or squat). It just kinda bounces/oscillates up-down a number of short cycles (either on the rear springs or the sidewalls).
I don't know much about the later year rear coil spring Rancheros, since they are a "truck" do they have a real stiff factory rear coil spring? And are you using a bunch of pressure in the air bags?
Since it's a factory 4-link you might try posting a pic of your rear suspension layout, it might help the factory Fox Body suspension guys offer up some suggestions.
And of course as mentioned earlier it could all just be crap track prep.

Re: Need some help getting down the track
It's gettin down the track pretty good now. When Dave Dillagasket said it doesnt do much , just like oscillates, that made me soften the rear and add more weight to the back. Sway bar adjustment, lower air to 11 psi in the slicks and also found some alignment problems in the front. Thanks guys.

Proper front end alignment & geometry can at times go a long way to solving any number of annoying little gremlins thought to be in other areas of the car's suspension.
