Deisel guys...need some help

My Son-in-law is broke down in Tennesee F350 7.3 deisel. A small Ford dealer had to put a new Turbo Charger on it and now they are saying he needs #3 and #8 injectors. They said it is going to cost him an additional $1750 for the injectors and install  . Does this sound right

A day or two late here, but that sounds T-totally outrageous!

Decent ones can be had for 250-300(ish) bucks and one can be changed in about an hour and a half. Also, I'd change #3 first and retest it.
I can't remember who told me to try that, but mine showed both of 'em bad, for some reason #8 didn't show back up after I changed #3.
That was over 100K ago and that #8's still in there.

I believe I'd get the hades away from that place.

My wife called Thurs and said they picked it up. The mechanic said they test drove it and it ran great, new (remanufactured) Turbo, two new (reman) inJectors, fuel filter and some other minor thing? Paid almost $5000, turned in the rental car drove it halfway back to the motel and it wouldnt pull a hill, without the camper no less  . Called AAA and had it towed back to the dealer, which was closed. My daughter went back to the dealer Friday with 'guns blazing' and they told her there only deisel mechanic didn't show up for work Friday (they are only open till noon Saturday)    . She hasn't called me yet today. This Ford dealer is in northern Tennessee off of I75 around Jerico (?), I believe.
