Re: Guys help me please..
Shane, did you get some slapper bars or anything yet? I'd be glad to meet you down at the valley and help you tune on it (I'll leave my car at home lol)
I've got some carbs here to try, but they all burn the wrong flavor of fuel.
I would stick the T2 deal on it, I also have a variety of spacers we can try.

Less gear, have Blake rub on the PI heads and look at some different cam options.

107 is about it as far as mph but each time I go out I find a little more I'm spinning it to 6600 or a tick more
sometimes 6200 over the stripe I dont remember but will watch that next outing. Every time I go out lately I only get to run 2 times wife has to go home or some other stuff happends I think if I could get some help tunning and some seat time it might pick up more

Re: Guys help me please..
I need to go test some myself, but could put it aside to go help you. That weekend looks ok for me, of course it would need to be TV.
The kid might bring the Chevy truck too, he made some 1/8th mile laps at Lawton but I want to run it in the 1/4 just too see..............
This weekend looks like crap for weather, get the manifold on it and I'll see if I can dig up a gas carb........unless you want to try some alky
I'd get some kind of traction device on it, hell even those 19.95 bolt on slapper bars would be better than nothing................... with just the leafs i'm afraid your gonna hurt some drvieline parts.

Re: Guys help me please..
agreed...........
After Blake puts the magic on them PI's, put some stroke in that deal and you'll be asking how to slow it down to run 11's.

Re: Guys help me please..
Is this a race only car or race/street?
-> Need 60 foot info.. <-
1. What fuel pump ya got and the fuel line size?
2. Could you add the spring rate that is up front and the type of shock?
Q's 1 & 2 are for information purposes.. I don't know your car setup.
My old Mach1 ran 12.5 @ 107 with the following:
466 Flat top piston
D3 heads with home porting stock valves and rockers
Summit cam 214/228 @ .503
Stealth Intake
850 Holley vac secondary
Stock exhaust manifold Cast Iron
2 1/2 exhaust no X pipe
3:50 gears
C-6 trans with stock converter
DR Tires 275-60-15 28 dia
Car weight on truck scale = 3420 lbs
Leaf spring 60 foot was 2.10 and worse
I put up the above info to maybe compair what you have?

Listen to Jon. Last thing you want to do is tear up something because you don't have some kind of traction device to keep the pinion, leafspring, & housing rotation in check. At the very least you need some kind of slapper bar & a few braces welded the the back side of the spring pearches to box them so they don't try to fold/roll over if the car hooks hard.
