Lifters
Have a 429scj and I'm doing a cam and lifter swap to be more friendly RPM range 2000 to 6000 staying with solid flat tappets are the lifters with the oil hole in them. Are they more of a race Application or good insurance for the street and do they rob oil from somewhere else like to know the pro and cons of these two types of lifters

Good insurance and I have had no trouble with them in any application.

Re: Lifters
I have the Howard's version with the .021" drilled holes. Good insurance in my opnion especially during break in. I was turning mine up to 6600 but I just put less gear in and cross the stripe at just over 6000.
