Can A429 shaft mount rockers (like from T&D) be used on iron scj heads? Anyone done this? Any advice/things to know on geometry, Valve length/ Valve lift?

Looking to build a 4.3" stroker sleeper with serious valvetrain under stock scj valve covers.

There are two different machining and valve train geometries produced with A429 heads ... one is the same and one is not.

I'm thinking the early a429 is the same as the iron if it goes by the same rule as the stud girdles.

Actually ... the A429 heads produced in the middle runs were different than early and later heads.
It can be identified with casting number dates or required girdles.

Checked from Jomar catalog. Serials 2000-5000 are different from iron heads.

Thanks for the warning.
