Converting SBF pedestal mount heads to adjustable rockers... Which length rockers to use???

I have a set of aluminum GT40X heads that are pedestal mount rockers and I want to convert to adjustable. I know I need to mill the stud area down .230, but what length rocker studs would you recommend? Going with 7/16 studs/rockers.

ARP has studs that are anywhere from 1.75" long to 3.00" long. I'll probably run a girdle, so should the 3.00" studs be the ones I need?

No they are way too tall. 1-3/4 will be fine.

It’s been 25 years ago but I’m pretty sure we used oem 351 c studs on my brothers 289.

Studs for a big block Chevy are the ones to use. I think they are just under 2 inches.

Thanks. This will be a winter project. Time to start collecting parts to assemble the heads.
