Block numbers question
Taking my 429scj DOVE-A block apart and noticed on the front right side off the block the letter A with a square around it does this mean anything the number on the back is 1A134761 what dose that mean any help would be appreciated thanks

The "1A134761" stamped on the rear of the driver's side cylinder bank is the engine serial number which usually correlates (in part) with the vehicle VIN. In this particular case, the "1" at the beginning of the alphanumeric stamping indicats a 1971 release date/1971 model vehicle.
