Offy to Victor swap

Is it worth spending $400 for a victor intake to swap out a offy port-o-sonic? I'm sticking with my 850DP for 2014. I will most likely have my PI heads ported this winter when I upgrade the valves. I'm about to come into a nice chunk of change from junking/wheeling/dealing some more Ford trucks that will be used for the head work, new slicks and the intake too if I would gain enough to justify the $400. 

That would be worth it if that was the gain.

Find a good used victor on here .....seems the goin price is about $200-250. Get the 4150 now then re-drill it to a 4500 when youre ready to step up to a dominator.

I never see any for sale on here or I would be on it like a fat kid on a Twinkie LOL

You have to watch the for sale section pretty close (several times a day) but they are on here. Watch the for sale ads on the other site also, they seem to come up for sale quite often. I found mine used for $175 plus the ride.

I can't get on the other site, friggin admin hasn't responded in a year to my email change issue.

if you are going to step up just get a Mafia dominator intake it is worth hp over the victor. The Portasinic is the absolute worst one you can have, yes it works but many many much better intakes...

I think that if you have a good set of P-51's and you're going to switch intakes looking for more power, then your biggest gain would be in ditching the 850DP in favor of a Dominator while you're at it. Post your wish list in the "Stuff wanted" section.

No P51's here, D2PI's on my 468. The money I could spend on heads wi but a lot of smaller items I need this winter. Sticking with my iron heads.

Second this, and I see them on ebay for about this price,used. The Victor for the C/J heads should be a closer match to the PI heads I would think, but they are not as common. 400 is a liitle hard to swallow for a new one, and I think I have seen new ones closer to $300 at some of the ebay speedshops new also. If you get one for a dominatior, you could put a 4150 adpt. and run your 850 also, if you have hood clearance?

I have one on the way from dfree383, I mailed the MO a week or so ago. It's a square bore victor.
