TFS Mafia heads

I might go in another direction and may look to sell the "original TFS Mafia heads." Lot of work went into these heads. 499 Ford, 2500 lb chassis car it ran 5.44/125 on gas. These are excellent heads. Feel free to ask Blake the Snake and Dan Hobbs about them. $2500 I do not know the flow numbers, but they're good.

Wrong heads Cowboy,these were Randy Moore's heads when they were new.I bought them from Randy.They are a great set of heads! They make killer power!  Charlie did do the 1st porting on them ,then Blake the Snake got a hold of them!

They do make great power, Im just going bigger or I would not let them go.

Actually cowboy, didn't Charlie work on one and Blake also got one to work on? There's a story there but I'm not going to spill the beans...

actually these are not the experimentals these are just a set of casting that were ported nothing special....

I thought they was pretty special lol. They won the big block bash , made the qk 16 , spanked bobby z ,spanked bruno,and spanked ole hobbs too lol. They are not the exp castings , but i would say as good as any tfs streets out there .

Randy these are great heads, I know they can build over 850 hp with them easy.....they are well ported and work. Brian has the experimentals

They're good heads or they wouldn't go 5.44 and that was with a small cam .737/.727.

True that. Brian owns the Prototype Mafia heads. They were welded, raised runner, long valves, raised valve spring seats, etc.. Blake and I did the dyno testing of the heads and intake manifold and then made the presentation in the conference room at TFS in Talmadge. Due to the economy and the cost of retooling, they said no to the heads, but yes to the intake manifold. Many of you run the TFS Mafia intake manifold today, and it has proven to be anywhere from 12 to 20 Hp better than a ported Victor,,,,on all out race engines.

These are a better set of heads than the ones I made 861 hp with, they ran that 5.44 on a 501 inch engine short shifting.

These heads have great air speed for good hp on a 500 to a 550 inch engine. My engine, a 557 had a 1700 rpm spread from tq peak to hp peak with a set close to these.

They would make someone a great set of heads for the money...........  

what's the difference in the regular a 460 TFS had and the Mafia had

Would these work on my A429 engine???? "piston wise"? I need to add 3/10ths to my combo. Currently 727 lift. 13.6-1.

Yes they would "piston wise" because the valve reliefs are in the same location as your A-429 heads. Now then,,,if your pistons have a dome on them, then as always you need to check your dome to chamber clearance and sand the domes if necessary.
