Ford Galaxie question
Whats the difference in the 63 1/2 and 64 ?

That 64 is Tore's Car. He bought it inOhio a few yrs. back. I like both Models. I don't know if the roof lines are the same,but they sure are similar.

I just hit google images of a 64 Galaxie and I liked that image , so I posted it . Sorry if You didn't want it posted ! I can edit the image and remove if you want me too ! I think it's a real nice car !

The rooflines on the 63 1/2 and '64 fastbacks are the same, p/n C3AZ-6350202-A.

60 - 61 - 62 - 63 all had box top models, all could be had in hardtop and sedans
60 and 61 also had fast backs but they were called Starliners and were hardtops also.
In the middle of the 63 year they released the 63 1/2 you are speak of and it was a fast back model, but still called a Galaxie. I am also thinking all of the fastbacks were either 500's or 500 XL's. 500 was the bench seat models and the XL's were bucket seat / console cars more of the luxury models.
64's were fastbacks with the exceptions of the "farmers" cars which was sedans and had a slightly different roof line although not really a box top so to speak.
