Only factory size c4 shafts are 24 or 26 spline, same dia, smaller than c6. Yours prolly has the c6 shaft upgrade.

If it is truly a C-6 spline it can be made to work with a Performance Automatic Spline adapter on the factory C-4 shaft to change to a C-6 Spline. Just my 2 Cents.

Yes, my C4 had a C6 input shaft. This converter is splined for a C6 input shaft.

If the trans receiving THIS converter has a C6 input shaft, no need. I did edit the original post though, as I see how it was confusing.

I ran one for 5 years at approx. 800hp and 3900lb ---------- trouble free. If you are making over that and using a trans brake they do have there limits. Basically all that will happen is it will strip the splines off the inside of the adapter. The metal stays put, inbedded in the splines on the shaft. Most guys who are over 800hp are not running a C-4 anyways, there simply is not enough material on the small clutches to hold that kind of power for a prolonged time or more than 15 passes or so IMO. I think they are around $35 and it is a pretty cheap way to use or try a converter built for a C-6.
EDIT ...........for some bad pricing info
. Heres a link to a Dynamic Trans spline adapter ............ they are $50 free shipping in the US

The PA ones have doubled in price ......... $73.12
