Profilier tunnel ram to C460 heads
Well I know a few guy's are still wondering if psfracer' s intake would have fit their C460 heads . Well I bought it and did a mockup and lone behold port match may take an hour if I dog it!! Frank
Pic's are a little deceiving but less than .100" on the roof ,maybe .030"-.040" on the sides and .100" on the intake floor and it will fit nice!!

Re: Profilier tunnel ram to C460 heads
Frank,
The nominal chamber volume on the Pro-Filer heads is 60 cc. The nominal chamber volume on the C-460 heads is 70 cc. This smaller volume was accomplished by Darin moving the seats .100" closer to the deck surface of the head.
Therefore you need to check very carefully your piston to valve clearance in terms of relief pocket depth. Additionally even thought pierce points are in the same place, because the valve started +.100" closer to the piston, (when the cam opens it, duration has effectively changed) and it causes the radial clearance to be different. This will probably be your biggest problem. Use clay and check the entire circumference.
Hope this helps,
Charlie

Charlie, I think he already moved the valves out of the intake and put them in the heads.

Me thinks this changed from frank needing breathalizer installed on his keyboard to Charlie needing a reading with comprehension class lol. Gladd it worked out Frank just dont torque it down and you have plenty of valve clearance lol

You are right Randy and Curt! I totally screwed that up. My bad Maybe I'm the one who needs the breathalizer test.
My problem is that I have done several sets of heads for pfracer, Bob and Kyle Curley, and Frank. Then they all get to buying and selling amongst themselves and it's hard for me to keep up which players are on the floor and which ones are on the bench.
Somehow I was thinking Frank was putting the Pro-Filer heads on a C-460 headed shortblock. I had a brain fart and plead "dumb and dumber". The actual fact is that he's putting a Pro-Filer manifold on C-460 heads, and it's going to work out just fine.
Uncle Charlie
P.S. Frank, your stuff is probably in Sweet Grass by now.

Re: Profilier tunnel ram to C460 heads
THat looks alot closer then I thought it would be. How far off is the floor of the head port vs the floor of the intake manifold? Is it about the same difference as the roof? I know when port matching, the sides and roof are important, but if the floor of the intake is higher then the floor of the head, it really doesn't matter, correct?
Glad it looks like you can use it. Looks like you should have trusted Captain Morgan the first time......
