2wd pulling truck Gearing with a tcase and without
Ok I have been doing some thinking and have a few question. What would be better:both with 31"x15.50x15 giant pullers.
1.) Np435 (2nd gear 3.34) + np205(Lo Range1.96)+ 4.10 gears in a fully built gm 14 bolt diff.+ 7200rpms = 25mph
The 4x4 case is married to the np205 with the f600 1 3/8 input.
2.) Np435 (2nd gear 3.34) + 7.80 gears in a Rockwell f106+ 7200rpms = 25mph
I have a np435 2wd f350 with the bigger 23 spline output and a f600 1 3/8 input shaft in it for this setup.
What would be stronger? And which would hook better? would one have less parasitic loss than the other?
I also have a set of 34" giant Pullers they are about 3" wider and taller 34x18x15
That would change it like this at 7200rpms
With tcase=27mph
Without tcase 28mph
Thanks for any input.
