Thanks for posting that Damon.
I was planning to do some 1/4 mile testing on the Stocker next weekend anyway.
It's the same distance from my house to MP as it is to BG, so I can test at MP and get to see that track for the first time as well.
Hoping for a 11.99 @ 110 mph out of the little 4 banger.

Re: MP Dragway Friday April 18th
Well, I lowered the Stocker over the weekend.
Had to order new 26 inch tires (vs. the 28's it used to have)
I cut 1 1/2 coils out of each spring. Saved another 7 lbs.
It lowered the front 3 inches and the rear 2 inches.
I hope it helps me run 110 + mph in N/SA trim.
The car will weigh 2825 lbs. with me in it.
My goal now is to be the first 11 second 4 cyl. Ford car in NHRA Stock Eliminator.

Sounds good to me Damon, seeing as how I am driving right past your exit on the BG pkwy anyway.
Plus , you can show me the way.
I am hoping to leave B-town around 3:30-4:00 fri.

It's MUCH easier for you guys coming from that end of the state to go to Clay City Dragway now. They recently installed an on-ramp & off ramp for anyone coming from the west.
Before, exit 18 was only accessible if you were driving in from the East. You either had to take the earlier Exit 16 and drive thru the residential part of the town/community,.....OR,......keep trucking 4 miles past the track and go to Exit 22 @ Stanton where all the restaurants/Fuel Stations are and turn around from there.
The track is about the only thing keeping that area alive and I've often said for 20+ years that they really need to do something about that. Evidently I wasn't the only one thinking that. BUT,.....it never really effected me, as I live east of there.
FWIW,.....
If I don't have anything to do Friday evening, I might try to drive out that way and watch you guys.

Re: MP Dragway Friday April 18th
Thanks for the info Keith !
I was looking at mapquest seeing how to get there.
Now that there is an exit at 18, that will make things a lot easier.
Now I hope the rain doesn't get us.

Yep,......
Bypass Exit 16 and keep going for 2 miles down to next Exit (18). The Off-Ramp is on the right. After taking the exit, turn left,......and the track entrance is a few hundred feet on your right.
Much easier for the western travelers to access the track than it use to be.

Update: Tow truck needs new Rotors and front pads. If parts don't come in by tomorrow morning then I won't be racing tomorrow.

If all goes as planned, going to try again tomorrow.
I checked out the rotor and brakes, seem to be OK now and just needed a good break in. Hope I'm right...

Re: MP Dragway Friday April 18th
Finally got to the race track Friday and Saturday.
Made 3 1/4 mile passes Friday to make sure everything works and then went back Saturday to run in Modified or "Pro" class 1/8 mile racing.
Finally got my lights back in tune but went a little too far. Need to adjust my button a smidge more.
Last time run car went 5.94 at 118mph and I had a -.006 RT so I took a half a spacer out of my button.
First round I dialed 5.95 and held .01 but treed the shit out of my opponent with a .005 RT and dumped on him when I passed. 6.02 at 104mph
Second round same dial however I went red -.006 again Grrrrrr... Ran it out to a 5.944 at 118mph
Loaded it up and watched my brother kick the shit out of everyone in Super Street class and he made it to the final 3 in a 17 second honda civic
I have to get his Camaro going so he has something cool to race
Good to be back at the track!!!!!

Sounds Great Damon !!
I can't wait to get back in the saddle myself,.....
I picked up my engine from Bob's yesterday.
Did you run it out the back-door on the 1320 ? If so,.....what'd she run?

Re: MP Dragway Friday April 18th
Friday and Saturday the air sucked! It was cool but the BP wasn't very good.
Friday I ran 9.35 on my second pass with very little to no prep due to a tnt night.
Saturday the short times and 1/8 were a little better with the same crappy air.
You have to go next time! And watch all the racers go "Duck Hunting" when my brother gets to staging. It's hillarious!!! May not work this time though, I think a few learned the hard way and realized he wasn't some newbie off the street LOL!!!

Re: MP Dragway Friday April 18th
At MP Saturday they were running this deal called the Dream Team Bracket Challenge. Basically 6 team members (You Pick) throw in $20 and the team with the most points at the end of the night wins all the money. We needed 4 more team members so we didn't participate.
Need ya Keith and whoever else wants to play next time. Would have been cool to get some heavy hitters that no one knows like Kristina, Randy and Hobbs to be on my team.

Re: MP Dragway Friday April 18th
Good to hear you got some runs in Damon.
Been awhile for you.
I know I need to get some more 1/4 mile runs in with the TC.
Beech Bend was closed last weekend due to a member of the family being ill, so if they are still closed this weekend I might consider heading to MP.
