Tire compounds????

Getting ready to purchase my slicks, and am cornfused about which compound I should look at. Is there some information out there somewhere to get better educated? Have been considering Hoosier because they are close but all 3 sizes I am looking at have different compounds. D6, D5 and a C11

Depends on application.

I am looking and comparing (on the sims) the Hoosier 29.5x11.5-15W with a D06 compound, 13.5/31-15L with a C07, and a 31.5/12-15 with a D05 compound. That is the specs from the Hoosier catalog. I am assuming you can't specify the compound when ordering the tires?????

Originally I was set to get the 29.5w but then started playing with the others on the sims and that got me to thinking. But I am not sure about the compounds.

I had some racing truck buddies that have ran the 29.5x11.5-15w and had good luck with them

If it wasn't for the fact that I run a true street deal every now and then, that would be the tire I'd run on mine.

I run a Quick Tome Pro (D.O.T.) in a 31x16.50-15 (part # 17800) It's real close to same specs as the 29.5 (part # 18195)
