Just purchased a Motorsports dampner p/n 397-M-6316-A460.
When I installed it, timing pointer at 10 o"clock position is nowhere near 0 reading on dampner. What am I doing wrong? Used 1/4" keyway.

Are you sure the engine is at TDC on #1 cylinder? Are you sure you have the correct pointer?

I am pretty sure that damper uses the 11 o clock deal...

using front cover and pointer from mid 80s F-250.
