Re: Nos Jetting for 2x4's
IIRC, you have an Alky carbs (domies) deal right, (not injected) ????
on the cheater plates this is what "Holley/NOS" shows for jetting
Table 4 Suggested Baseline Tuning Combinations for NOS Multiple-Carburetor Competition Cheater Systems
Stage
Jetting Baseline pressures Fuel Quality
N2O/Fuel N2O/Fuel Ignition Timing NGK Plug or Equivalent
100 HP 33/33 950PSI/6PSI 93 + Octane Pump gas -7
150 HP 52/52 950PSI/6PSI 100+ octane (R+M/2) * -8
175HP 59/59 950PSI/6PSI 110+ octane (R+M/2) -9
200 HP 65/65 950PSI/6PSI 110+ octane (R+M/2) * -9
250 HP 73/73 950PSI/6PSI 112+ octane (R+M/2) * -10
seems a little rich to me however these are for gasoline for carbs & enrichment...
I would check with Monty Smith @ NOS or Steve @ IS...
I can tell you that mine seemed to like a spread in the jets ( 10-12 ) & a total of 12* out of the timing (total 18*) on the smack..
(single Big shot plate)
depending on the jets you have I would try a 59n & 52f with 5.5psi on the fuel pressure...make damn sure you flow the fuel side
this is easy if you have a return style regulator like the Mallory 4309 3port deal, or get Steve's flow tool from IS.
no more than 20* total timing to start with...
Alky & C-16 have two different burn rates so plug reading is not normal!!!
get you a few sets of plugs and order some more jets from IS , you can buy individuals for pretty cheap from them , just remember your gonna need 2 of each...lol
the best advise I got was ... "take your time, ... sneak up on it" ....

Re: Nos Jetting for 2x4's
Here's a link that might lend some insight on this as well. It is actually jetting info for a Cross Bar style plate fed by a single solenoid, which to a point is similar to what you have..

These are just some general numbers and depending on your nitrous solenoid your set up will likely require even more spread to get a nice clean nitrous to fuel ratio. Just thought this still might help some of you as well.. Thanks, SJ
