It's funny M/T comes up. My best friend happens to work there. He has work a few different roles and a few announcer jobs as well. I'm hoping he can make something happen like overnite for me.

I have those on our 4 link car. but since our hard tail car was new in 2000 its always had Goodyears. but somewhere they made some changes and no longer have the 33.5/15/15 we run. It been a long time as well. these tire were brand new in 2003 and stored in plastic and in the basement of our home till 2008 when we started racing again. we had no problems till last year we put the car away with 60ft number in the 1.42-1.45 range (throttle stop class) at the July 4th race pulled the converter out and had a leak fixed and put it back together for the Mile Highs and all the sudden 1.54-1.57 60t sad had to pull .9 numbers out of the box for throttle stop. i had a new converter built no change then sent the repaired converter back and had it checked and no problem found and we are still in the same boat. So I'm guessing something happened to the side walls.

Hoosier makes a good tire for a hard tail like your car. Ran it on my Undercover slipjoint. #18450 33X16.5X15S. The S is for soft sidewall. (MT "S" means stiff sidewall. I would get 175-200 passes going as low as 1.03 60' In average air was 1.07-1.08. When the sidewalls gave up the times would simply vary .02-.03 on the 60'
I'm thinking if your car fell off that much in 60' there is an issue somewhere else as long as it's not simply tire spin. Never seen a car fall off that much in the 60' alone from just tires. With those 60' times it should be just dead hooked. If the converter is ok there is an issue elsewhere. Trans, engine, etc.
Pic of those tires working:

the only other change to this car pryor to the last know good 60ft times were 2 races before we jetted the carb down 1 jet size. other than that its been oil changes and valve adjustments (checks as nothing has moved)..

Re: rear dragster tire perference
I ran the same Hoosier as David on my hardtail Undercover car.
Always had good results with them..
Is it possible the change in 60's could be some issue with the stop itself ??
Has the performance changed when running off the stop ??

well i just got done going through the carb looking for any problems. Clean as it was when brand new. Cheked all the passages with blowing air through them and no blockage of any kind. ohm checked all the wires and checked timing and nothing has changed. it all the same where we set everything up at....????????????

Re: rear dragster tire perference
just my 2cents. Im running Hoosier 17x33.5x16 on bead-locks. Luv them on my "engine on a stick". I borrowed a set of Goodyears this weekend. They were definitely not as consistent, and the high growth was more uncomfortable on the top end.
Also it has been my experience over the last few seasons with the Top Sportsman car, and then again this weekend on the dragster that the Goodyears get slick on hot starting lines. better suited for spring and fall. The Hoosiers hold up better int he heat. IMO
