Coyote 5.0 engine
Anyone here have experience with these engines?
I have been doing some reading on them on some forums and noticed majority of the people that mod these engines really don't know much about engines. There is some performance shops that are selling "snake oils". I read a thread that some guys a charging $3,000 just to weld the coolant passages on the block deck to match the head gaskets. Then they say that would allow the block to hold more power. The main thing I notice is a lot of folks will add a supercharger and run a "can" tune. Then wonder why when they up the boost from 9lbs to 14lbs it windows a block. Or ask a tuner to tune their car for race gas and then run it on pump gas thinking there isn't a differance. Usually you never hear that on the internet though.
