There is a few 5.0l swap groups on facebook. You could try there if you don't get any answers here.

Good luck fitting the wide ass engine in a mustang II with stock aprons and booster master cylinder a 302 pushrods motor is tight and a 351c is about as tight as id want to work on one.
Do a lot of measuring befor you tear into it.

Re: 77 cobra with coyote 5.0 swap .?
Both of these cobras I have been given the opportunity to work on are drag cars. One is a 302 and that is the one that wants to go with the coyote for next season of racing. The other has a 351C in it .
This is a new adventure for me ! I figure the motor will fit mount wise as the bottom of the engine is pretty narrow. The brake booster will be eliminated and all things not necessary for safety or the occasional 30 mile cruise. Trimming and bracing the front for safety and clearance will be the biggest hurdle along with the headers.
Thanks for the info already given and all info and advise is welcomed

I think changing out the whole front end would be the easiest way to get the best fitment.
A Fox or newer gen Mustang tubular front end (aftermarket K member) grafted onto the chassis of the Mustang II will probably work best.
Its a whole lot of fabrication!!

Basically a tube / strut racecar front end

That would be cool and huge in there , I Been wanting to put a 351w based motor in mine one day , I have a 396'' eagle kit i wanna use with the kaase jegs heads. This is the 302 with those heads and valve cover to valve cover is the same width as a 351w because of the height of the heads.
