running new engine need plug recomendation
I have a 521 BBF on my runup stand right now and am just getting ready to do a run in. I haven't bought new plugs for it yet. I do like NGK plugs as I have them on my 545 and they work good. This engine uses D3 heads and has about 9 to 1 compression. I have a cam from Chet Herbert that has been in another engine so thought I would use it in this one as it worked good. This is going in my 77 F100 short box. I have a 750 holley vacum secondary carb on it to run it in on a Edelbrock performer rpm. It also has headers and will be a summer time driver and work truck once in a while. Just looking for an NGK number that will work good all around for this engine/truck.

Say 1975 Lincoln with a 460. The early stuff typically has big plugs. That will get you running fine.

Picked up plugs today
Went in O'Reilly's today and just asked for a set of NGK plugs for a 78 merc with a 460 and of course they didn't have them but said he could have them by 4:30 today. He calls me about that time and sure enough they were at the store picked them up so next week I will attempt to start this thing. Thanks guys.
