IF you are so inclined that you think you just have to run a girdle, Canton has one where their windage tray attaches to it.

I would like to run a girdle because of the instant shock of the nitrous tho its a 2 phase and it would not be that bad but thanks for the reply

The girdle is not going to prevent a failure. It will most likely only keep the broken components tied together. There is a lot of info on here about them if you wish to search for something specific.

I always thought that there to keep things from flexing im I right? after all im only going to be putting out 675hp but if I was more to 950+hp it would be more to the point were it would be needed but I think that's what your trying to say

Most girdles do nothing to prevent flex.

Ever since they raised the girdle off the machined flat on the cap and added spacers to hold it up above the rounded top, as far as I'm concerned their almost useless.

I had a customer who was adamant about me installing a "valley halo", also. That was the last straw.
I say "HAD" because I told him to pay me for his parts already gotten and take his engine to the guy who strongly recommended that he HAD to use that HALO.
I suspect it is nobody because he is an internet junky.
He left really, REALLY angry and vowed to tell everyone about this business practice.; (he was the main basis for my rant elsewhere on the forum).

You're better off. That's probably the same guy who will screw up his tuneup, turn the engine into scrap, then blame the builder.

I wonder how his proctologist got all those parts out of his rear. I'm sure you told him where to put them.

SORRY for this getting way off-topic...
No Blake, I didn't ... I was as "matter of fact" as could be. He said he couldn't pay me for the parts I already had gotten and I said it was OK to leave them here but, after 30 days there would be a storage fee because I no longer was doing any labor on anything further for his engine. He blew-up over that or the $2,600.00; mostly for a partial rotating assembly with custom Diamond pistons and head work.
He actually expected me to give him his heads and parts, then he would pay me later. He figured he was entitled to get them ...
I asked him to leave but, he called his buddy, (I overheard the conversation and they were just going to take the stuff physically if necessary), so I candidly called the county sheriff and said there was a potential robbery in progress. So, the sheriff showed-up the same time as the guy's buddy and that sheriff escorted them away. It was conveyed that if this happens again, he will go to jail.
It has been almost 3 weeks and I haven't gotten any money or any word about this stuff.
I am in the process of writing a registered letter to be signed-for upon delivery and at the end of 45 days I will own these parts and heads.
I would rather get paid and have him take this stuff out of here.
