Hey guys..I'm wanting to build a 557 to go in my 96 f150 2wd..I'm new to the big block world always had sbf...I'm wanting to put this truck in the mid 6s 1/8 mile.and run on pump gas cause I'm gone cruise around town to.now my question is what heads to use I've seen good info on the p51s but should I try the new AFR..any help would be great

I'm a big fan of the P-51s they work great.


I'm not even sure you can get the AFR stuff or when it will actually be avaliable. They have been hinting about them for a long time now.

Tell us more about your truck? How heavy? Suspension? Transmission? Gearing?

It probably weighs 4000lbs full interior I was thinking c6 and 4.11s in a 9" wanting to run a 28x11.5 et Street.. Gone put my cold fusion x-bar plate on it...stock suspension with cal tracs is where I'm trying to go with it I'm just getting started it is just a roller rite now

Your going to need around 800 hp to meet your goals.
