mechanical fuel pump
I see a lot of people run electronic fuel pumps but i was curious if anyone runs and enderle (or similar) belt or cam drivin fuel pump, gas or alky, with a carb. Likes / dislikes??
Also, how much horsepower are the holley 130 gph (or whatever the big one is) capable of feeding? I dont trust the accuracy of the write up on the holley website

All I can offer is the dyno said my 552 was using 75 gal/hr at WOT with about 575hp. Glad it only runs for a few seconds at a time.

I ran a hilborn belt drive pump with my quick fuel alky carb. I think its the only way to go on alcohol. I think its a good set up for bracket racing also just one less thing to run off the battery. I used a quick fuel regulator to by pass the fuel back to the cell. It has a holley jet to set the idle pressure and adjustable diaphragm to set the wide open pressure. I also used a pill type by pass that worked just as good.

If you go electric, I've got two words for you: Magna Fuel. Best pump, hands down, in my opinion.

well i'd prefer not to go electric. it makes for messy wiring off the kill switch with a magneto.... I have to run a relay- the coil fed by the kill cord. N-O contacts for the fuel pump, N-C to ground the mag when the relay is De energized, plus a switch for each wired in series. i didnt want to buy the $300 switch from mallory. This is on a pulling tractor. It works now but its pretty busy under my seat where this is all connected.
