Mechanical fuel pump on a 460??
Has anyone ever used a Holley 12-460-11 mechanical fuel pump on a 500 hp 460??? its 110 gph vs a stock pump is around 60 gph... just wondering if it will be enough fuel for mud racing around 6 seconds at wide open.

Plenty,
Same basic fuel pump used on Boss 429's in Nascar . Those were Carter pumps but the internals are virtually identical. It will handle 600 hp if you have a 3/8ths supply line to it and to the carb.

I had one but the ethanol in pump gas eventually ate the rubber and started leaking. Otherwise a fine pump

I'm using that pump and its fine on the street... At the track it lays down after the 1/8 have tried 2 of those pumps same thing... I use a holley blue pushing thru the mech, pump when at the track...
