Swapping out the 4.10s to 3.73 gears in hopes to better my e.t. On the spray , is this the right move or wrong more , a lot of local guys told me to put in 3.55s but I feel that's to much , any of you nitrous guys had any experience with this ?

we started with 4.11's in the car with one kit we when to 3.89's and we picked up , 2 kits now with 3.70's and we picked up , now were playing with converters trying to get less than 5% slip going out the top end and we'll be 205- 210 mph out the big end , this is with a 33.0 -16 x 15 with 107 roll out

I vote the 3.90 gear for a start but you will probably end up with the 3.73.

with a 1.80 I would do a 3.73 and loosen the converter but if it was mine I would spend the coin for a 1.58 or 1.64 and stay with the 4.10 or 4.30.

I tried a FTI ssw93c+ set up for car for 373 gears and a 300 shot , I ran it with a 410 gear and 250 shot and the shift drop was 600 , the car was slower than with the ptc converter with the 1200 shift drop on a 250 shot
So I put the ptc back in and going try 373 gears and 275 shot , maybe that will loosing the converter up some

with the 1.80 first gear I have the same problem but I think a 3.27 on my software will allow me to use a 5500 stall nos converter and on the spray 200 shot stall to 6000 and will trap at about 6300- 6400 and real easy on the crankshaft rpm! Very Happy

Where does your motor make power? That is pretty important. I may have missed that.

Ill bet a 200 shot raises the converter a lot higher than 500 rpm, more so with tha tall ass gear.....

aside from the nitrous question isn't that 1150 a little small for a 562 cid..? just asking.

I think so, too but I'm no nitrous guy. This weak-sister 514 likes an 1150.

Depends on who you talk to, 1150 seems to work good , I have been told with nitrous you don't need to use a big carb , I borrowed a 1250 once and it didn't change the e.t on the spray , I did not make any changes to the 1250 because it wasn't mine
