Copper Header Gaskets for CJ/SCJ
Looking around and trying to find some, but only able to find plain jane 429/460 coppers. Anybody know if anyone makes/sells them for SCJ?
Thanks, Ray

That's what we used last time, but on disassembly found numerous leaks. So going to try a different route
Ordered the Summitt ones this morning

I'd like to try RTV, but when all 8 ubes are separate and take a while to get on, be kind of hard...

Put a small ring of sealer around each primary flange, then walk away for a day or so. When it's completely dry and rubbery, bolt 'em on.

My new header tubes are seperate as well, but I just bolted them up with the ultra copper rtv. I needed a 3rd hand to help start bolts while I steadied the header, but they went on easy enough. Just make sure your flanges are flat!!!!

We use this on turbo cars so I know it works. The key as stated above is you need to let it dry before you assemble. On the turbo stuff, we put it on the heads to dry and when it is ready to assemble we smear a very thin layer on the headers on then bolt them up.
