ford truck fuel tanks
Guy's, my 97 F250 PS diesel has both fuel tanks leaking.I have a parts truck that has 2 good tanks but they are gas. Will those tanks interchange with mine, other than the fuel pump and guage assemblies?

Rick the guy I work with is using regular gas tanks under his he bought a F150 for a parts truck his parts truck is a 96 and F250 is a 94.5 7.3 PS. The tanks on them are the same except the pickup/sending unit the diesel pick fit right in his tanks.

No comment other than, if Jim tells me he knows someone that has interchanged the tanks, I believe him.

Rick, if your interested in a new one check Amazon.
I picked up a rear tank for my 95 last winter for $76 delivered.
That was for a gas truck.

Re: ford truck fuel tanks
Rick be careful taking out the sending unit/pickup them jokers cost if you have to replace one, new one is $400 we finally found 2 used ones he got for $100 each. His truck is from Ohio also his tanks rusted out on the top and the top of the sending rusted away also so he had to replace them also. But the whole truck body was rusted out also he said it was from all the salt they put on the road there in the winter. He from Akron, Ohio he is 72 and still working 50+ hours a week moved South to retire and still hasn't retired yet.
