Blue thunder B heads?
The car I bought has a 557 with blue thunder heads. Any body run these with success? I have a 250hp in the fogger, weather will not cooperate. Ive tried to go to the track for 2weeks. What kind of ET have you seen with these heads?

Re: Blue thunder B heads?
Blue Thunder has manufactured several heads of different mods.
standard exhaust port
standard exhaust port but raised .650"
Chevrolet Big Block exhaust flange
and,
each of those heads were all produced with 72, 82 or 100 cc combustion chambers.
Then they changed the intake ports and made all of them in 74 and 90cc combustion chambers.
They are all good heads.

Mine don't sound quite that good, but max effort on the heads, 400cfm intake, and a max effort intake manifold, does alright with 18-1 compression and a monster long cam.... Itll let a 525 cu in engine walk out to 9200 RPM and pull an easy 920hp NA.. a little spray, twin systems over 500... and its about 1520 or so.......

I'm at 3125lbs with me in the car. Going to work my way up to a 36 jet on the fogger. I made around 840hp on Brian Mathews dyno. Curious how nitrous friendly they are?

Re: Blue thunder B heads?
Heads were done here in Tucson
Cant remember the guys name. He wad huge into 351c stuff. Most everything else in town is all chevy. He was in several of the rags from the 90s for some high end 347 stuff. The intake Chris Straub found for me. The port match to the heads was fingernail smooth.
