I like the show, but I wish there was a good running, Ford powered Ford car on it. Richter, have you tried to get on "the list" and they said no??

I was told I had no street cred, but the the trackest of track racers is on there....... pretty much you gotta be in the inner circle of the party boys to get on there.
it is what it is..... as far as I know there has not been a contract set for season six yet.......who knows

Re: Street Outlaws
It sounds to me that you have to act like you have a "superstar" attitude but run mild times and make a bunch of noise. Call them out on YouTube with $$.
"We" use to street race a lot in the 80's and 90's then a dragstrip opened. Just like what they are doing now. Tube chassis, big tire cars on the street. Some of you might have heard of the "Mid-Night Nationals" we use to have every year. If we didn't have a dragstrip to run on everyone would have there suspension setup for the street. They run so much on the street that it's no wonder they are fast.
The guys that run on the streets these days are cars that run so fast they can't run at the track due to lack of safety equipment. They run real street cars, DOT tires only and no car trailers and factory suspension only!

Re: Street Outlaws
Example: the last Dyno day it wasn't uncommon to see one of the street racers to Dyno over 1,000 at the rear tires with a basic street car. All of their money goes into the engine. Heck one guy had Kasse build him a set of Ford GT cylinder heads for his crazy cubic inch modular motor with twin turbos and meth injection. Then the car is just a Sn95 with a high dollar transmission, upgraded rear axle and Strange Shocks.
I'm pretty sure if you put that engine in a light weight, tube chassis, 4-link, big tires and traction control it would be twice if not triple as fast. Instead it's in a car like I mentioned with full interior, ac and 28" drag radials.
Boosted GT knows how they roll but once again our guys have a totally different idea of what you have to race on the street to have street cred. Those guys on tv would have absolute zero with that group. It just is what it is.

He forget to turn on a kit? I mean, your shit is fast no doubt but ain't no way in holy hell that a IHRA Mountain Motor should be losing to a P51 headed small BB
