EPA says no more wood stoves/fireplaces?
This sucks. I always meant to get one as a backup in case the power went out. Guess I waited to long.

Get on the classified ads, they are not illegal to possess, just going to get harder to get (and more expensive)..heck if my power went out and I didn't have a fireplace my sink would be a wood burning stove if necessary. You may not be allowed by your insurance company to have it permanently mounted but you could run the piping and hook it up if needed JMO

I dropped the wife off to go shopping, and there is an idling bylaw in place, I arrived before she did, so I pulled off to the side...I had a knock on my window from bylaw who told me there is an idling bylaw and I must shut off my truck, Like FK was my reply I will drive around in circles, if you do not agree show me the driving around in circles bylaw or find someone else to harass.

And we wonder why folks just snap and go shoot'n up the local school or workplace. I sure don't agree with that kind of behavior but you'd think they could find a place with some "deserving" occupants.

My Russel stove has been chugging along for almost 35 years. Only backup available is propane, too far out for natural gas. When it gets to the point that I cant cut / split wood anymore, probly gonna havta move south and join the rest of the snow-birds............naaaahhhhh, i'll stick it out here.

Look like if you have one now you are grandfathered in. Stoves, fireplaces, and pellet stoves already made can be bought and used(like incandescent light bulbs are being phased out now). But, the new models will have to be much cleaner burning. Get one now or pay a bunch more for one the meets the new EPA regs.

So if you have one great and if you want one your screwed ! Goverment control at its finest , hitting the little or middle man in the balls ! So the new bulbs are worse for the inviroment than the old , lol read the fine print on those energy savers.
