Question about flywheels
Did i purchase the right flywheel for our 351C, 4 spd?

Is there only one size flywheel for my project? I am running a scattershield. Starter the same?
Do you guys run the washer ring under the flywheel bolt? It looks like it spreads the load out more even over the flywheel. Place to purchase?
Do they make a Timken bearing for the pilot?
Clutch, pressure plate suggestions?
Thank you
Tom

Re: Question about flywheels
Tom it has been a while but I still have a few Clevelands and to my memory I think the Pilot bearing I always used was a alt bearing it fit perfectly in the pilot hole, and the flywheels I always run were 164 tooth I think there is a New #50 lb steel wheel in the attic for a cleveland for a 11.5 inch clutch and I think there are 4 or so Scattersheilds in the Garage for SBFs ... LOL
Tom one last little tip if you use a roller bearing take the grease seal off one side of the bearing and check to see if they put grease in it, if not grease liberally and pop the seal back in and have fun, (ask me how I know they sometimes don't put grease in them?) not fun doing it twice....I don't understand how the bearing company thinks a bearing will last without grease......

Re: Question about flywheels
I like the older alt bearings better, at least they are sealed..

add, Coug's idea of the alt. sealed bearing is best to use. do like he said, check it for grease, but don't over gearse them.
Thank you
Tom
