Took a break from all the message boards for a while. I still look around but don't post much. Been working out of town for 1 year and 3 months. In October 2 days before my birthday I lost my best friend in an accident on the farm down the road from me. He also happened to be my dad. I can tell you it is a lonely place to be no matter how many people surround you. It's something that time may heal but I have my doubts. I have had a Pro-stick Berreta here for a year now and have lost all interest in cars all together. I am down to the window net and seat brackets and it's finished. Thankfully my Friend Frank is an understanding guy (76 years young) and chose me to build him a new car. He campaigns a 57 vette right now that is a 5 speed car.

Yea that's really terrible Travis. When you lose one of your parents that are especially close like that.It really takes the wind from you. Sorry for your terrible loss my friend.

Travis,sorry to hear about your Dad. It's a terrible thing to lose your Dad+your best friend. I've been there buddy! I feel your pain. The pain eases in time,but the hurt never leaves. I've got a hammer of my Dad's that I always grab when I can't seem to find the solution to something in my shop. It always seems to help me find my answer,I call it "The Hammer Of Knowledge".You just got to keep on keeping on!!! He'd expect no less of you! Take care my friend! Dan-O

Sorry to hear Travis.

Thanks for keeping me in mind. Sucks for me but I really feel sorry for my dad. He was as healthy as a 25 year old and never went to the doctor. I think constantly about the things he is going to miss. My girls graduating, getting married etc.....
