If you have the capabilities to grease the axle bearings using Bearing Buddies how often is it necessary to pull the bearings to repack them?? I know they should be pulled for inspection.

As long as the bearing buddies are working we tare ours down every first part of the summer.... if you notice they are not working as should we check them every 6 months a few hours at the house is worth a day on side of the road to me.

I just had one fail after about 10 years of hard use, I typically greased the yearly, but have never pulled the drums, the brakes where fine when I pulled it apart, just the outer bearing failed and jacked up the spindle. It's a pita because the spindle is welded on the older ones and not replaceable, have to get a complete new axel.
