So with the recent agreement between 8Liter and I to do some trading I'm going to be sporting a big block again. Victor intake with a 1050 a top it AINT gonna fit under a stock hood on this car. SO I need some idea's. I'd rather NOT use a 27 inch cowl hood, and don't want a Pro Stock style anything. Thinking about a 4 inch hood with a Lexan scoop through the hood. BUT it will have to be a hinged hood. Im not fooling with a pin on deal.

Thoughts? Concerns? Other ideas that make me look like an idiot I am open to those to.

I run a victor with a 1050, I have a 6" Harwood cowl hood but I run a 4" tall air cleaner underneath it. It's a lift off deal though. My buddy's are always at me to get a scoop on the car but I don't think I'll gain enough to make it worth the money. Here's a couple older pics of my setup when I first got the car up and running. I'm still using the same hood and air pan. Thank good my car is finally out for a paint job. Rolling Eyes 2014 Grabber blue. Cool

I was keeping this to myself but I used 2x Boss 429 scoops, and made a Ford version of a non cowl that is approx 37" long and 4" high.Hood / scoop on the street <a href=
It used to have a pro stock hood with a tunnel ram.

it fit under my 4" hood with that little gt scoop. It had 3-4 inches of clearance...you can see the vent tube in this pic...

I may end up with another 5 or 5.5 hood. I just don't want a pin on...Need it to hinge.
