I think it's a 4150 or 4160, but that's all I can tell. Need to know if I should get anything specific when I order the rebuild kit. Thanks!

It is a model 4160 ... probably an L1850.

Thanks! Anyone else wanna back this up? Could I simply measure the bores to verify what I have? I might try cleaning the numbers up some more, but they look badly abraded like someone wire wheeled or sanded on it. I guess I could get one of those kits with assorted gaskets and then I'll know for sure later on.

Look on the top right hand side of the choke tower. It should say LIST with a number in front of it. Holley made alot of 4160 600cfm carbs. The kit for the List #1850 will cover most of them but some came with 2 stage power valves on OEM emissions carbs.

YEP ... with a hand choke it is from the aftermarket and not original OEM equipment.

Yeah the man I purchased the truck from said he had a few things done. 'A cam', headers, block cleaned-up and honed, and the carburetor. It seems pretty stock otherwise and likely original- at least the truck has the 460 VIN code. I'll take another look at the carb tonight. Thanks.

Not an 1850, wrong primary metering block and base plate has a big vacuum port not there on an 1850 base plate. Could be a 6919 emissions carb.

Its an emission stocker
No secondary Metering block.  It has the aluminum plate within the bowl.

The emissions stuff has a bunch of stuff this thing is missing, and with the hand choke it's definitely not factory.

Could be a Frankenstein carb that somebody thru together. I'm guessing a 1850 body and bowls with the factory base for the kickdown.

Unless I'm missing something.   Choke has been removed from carb.  There is no butterfly in the tower and any choke hardware is off the passenger side.

Frankencarb sounds about right. Would I be out more money just getting good reman 750 Holley instead if tracking down the parts to restore this to factory? I haven't rebuilt a carb before but want to give it a go. Although, I've read several times 600 cfm is too restrictive, even for street builds. If I'm spending money I prefer to improve performance. Maybe somebody will swap me a rebuildable 750 that's too big for their build.

I should have said Holley specific replacement carb. I agree, the hand choke was on the Universal models, and it is more than likely a List 1850 model, unless someone added the manual choke.

Sorry, I'm not near the truck ATM. Is the choke tower number directly on it or adjacent? There is a 7809 stamping adjacent to the choke tower. I only have a handful of pics on my phone right now.

OK ... that bracket which holds a choke cable must have been specifically put on there for a different reason.

I suppose I should go ahead and get a 750 since this truck has a more aggressive cam and headers already. Thanks for the help, guys!
