Cleaning Head Bolt Threads
For next to nothing you can make your own thread chaser. Get an extra head bolt and use a Dremel cutoff disk and make the vertical slit around the bolt at each 45 degree points. Use some brake clean to loosen the crud and after running your bolt in and out blow out with your air gun.

you know what also cleans them nicely a Bottom hole tap. That's what I clean threads with seem to be what they are made for....
