Went to the track Yesterday for the first time with the car.

94 Mustang
8 point roll bar
upr subframes
Front suspension:
team z tube k member and A arms
strange single adjustable struts with 14" 175 lb coil over springs
front struts were set at 3

Rear suspension:
unknown fixed uppers
megabite jr lowers set on "most traction" setting
no anti roll bar (yet)
Left the rear sway bar in to help act like a anti roll bar
Eibach drag springs
Air bag on right side was set at 5 psi
and strange single adjustable shocks, set at middle setting 5

Engine and trans
466
flat tops
9.5:1 comp
Eddy rpms
frpp c460 hyd cam
eddy rpm intake
Demon 850 carb

trans for now
stock c6 and 3000 boss hog converter
trans is coming out this week I have broader rebuild kit and transbrake valve body, and two other converter options a 3800 stall and 4500, what would be better for my application?

engine was dyno tuned 535 hp @5900
and 550 ft lbs at I beleive 3800 Ill have to look at the sheet again.

Anyway, engine ran strong, I beleive trans was slipping a little going into 3rd
car ran a 7.28@96 mph first pass, then a 7.22 and last was a 7.55 had to shut down early due to idiot putting it in neutral. Car spun bad every pass and 60 fts were between a 1.56 to 1.58

tires are M/T 28x11.50
first pass 14 psi
second 11.5 psi
third 10 psi

Ill post time slips when i get home tonight. Any and all help to get this thing hookin is greatly appreciated.

You have some old school stuff going on there. Lol

You are hitting the tires too hard and it's most likely unloading.  Your best bet would be to tighten the front end more, I know seems back, but it is coming up fast and then unloading the rear.  This will help.  Also loosen the rear shocks and change the bar angle to less of a hit.

As for converter, if those are your only choices go with the one in the middle and set 2 step to about 3500. Tire pressure is tough on those tires but 10-11 is where I would start.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it. As for as front end I want to set the struts to stiff? I did turn rear shocks down "loose" to 3 on the very last pass throttle cable broke so I didn't get to try it lol and the bar angle are you referring to the lower control arms to a different "traction" setting? The car is the way I got it last year. I'll be upgrading to better rear suspension later, like most, my wallet tells me what I'm not doing right now lol

I didn't specify all those passes were foot brake at the line At about 1,800 rpm is all the brakes would hold. I'll go with the middle converter and see what happens.

Again thanks for the response and please excuse my ignorance on suspension, actually the first car I'm trying to tune suspension on.

yes, to the lowers. IF they are adjustable. Megabite Jrs may be a little aggressive for what you have but may work fine.
