Rocker arm roller
Hello All-
I recently had a hardened tip come off of one of the exhaust valves in my SCJ heads... When this happened, my rocker arm rode on the retainer for a short time. This wore an area in the aluminum of the rocker body....
So, I got the head fixed and figured I would replace the rocker arm. I am running the Trick Flow Blue Ford 1.73F rocker arms.
When I got the new single rocker arm out of the package and compared it to my old ones, it looked like the roller tip was a little larger than my old rockers. I measured an old roller and it measured in the .480" range and the new one was actually larger. It measured .520"
Will this difference in roller diameter cause any problems?

Re: Rocker arm roller
If my calculations are correct, it would only change the pushrod side .011". .520-.480= .040 divided by 2= .020 divided by 1.73=.0115". My math may be all wrong though, but I think it would be OK to run it. Wait and see what Randy and the rest of the guys say, though.
