New career best 6.005 at 115
The car was flawless last night. It ran a career best; 1.320 sixty foot, 6.005 1/8th mile, 115.06 mph. It ran a 6.02 and 6.03 also. My previous best was three years ago at 6.05. I might add that the 6.005 was in the first round of eliminations in a 6.0 index race. I tuned on it all night, it ran a 6.13 off the trailer and just got better as the air came in and the fuel adjustments were on the mark. I also got to see my ole' buddy Ervin J Willert at the track. Second round was a disaster, my finger slipped off of the transbrake and I left before the tree activated. All in all a great night. I have to thank Tina Beggs and Joe Clark for helping me out.

Hello Kerry, I don't know you or your car so excuse me for asking you about your combo, engine, trans and rear, that thing really hauls the mail, I have a 68 coupe that I'm going to build next, I want to try to keep the stock front end and maybe do mini-tubs in the rear with latter bars and coil overs, BBF and a PG

Hey Butterbean, no secrets here. 466 Ci, AR429 heads ported by Charlie Evans, Victor intake, Comp Cams solid cam spec'ed by Lem, 14.1-1 CR, PG tranny, MW rear end, 486 pro gear, car weighs a whopping 2388 wet without me in it, race weight about 2600. I'm very limited on cam size per Lem because this engine has TRW pistons with big domes. A stroker kit is in the near future. It is alcohol injected, Ron's 2100 cfm Terminator. Just let me know if you need anything else.

Nice job! I went 6.01 in good weather and think I'm going to spray it before winter. Two more points races to go.
Get back out there and get that 5.99.
