Hose between intake and water pump
Whats it for? And do you have to run it?

It is a by-pass to relieve water pressure when the thermostat is closed so, you don't blow open the heater core. Race type vehicles don't need a water by-pass.

I just finished putting my intake back on I know the next time I pull the engine for a for a freshen up I going to weld a plug in the outlet on the water pump. That Little peace of hose it the hardest thing to get on for sure.
