rear sump oil pan
How much can I drop my motor swaping oil pan for a rear sump? Trying to save money not getting hi angle drive shafts so I can put more money into my motor. Thot $200 would be better than thousands
Re: rear sump oil pan
Can you just flip the pan end for end? I know that the Cummins in the skidder I was working on last winter buddy bot a used motor and pretty sure that we tured the pan they other way

No the pan goes on one way only. Have you looked at the mustang swap pan.

I was outside looking at it and it looks like it might be a bit of fabrication.I had to put in a body lift so I could shut the hood with the air filter but can't rilly see how it could be dropped. I fabed the motor mounts just welded ears on the stock mounts might be stuck with it ware it is.
Re: rear sump oil pan
I no this is a old thread but im in search of what oil pan I should get to drop motor 4 inches ruffly... Right now I have the front sump pan that was on the motor when I got it and fabed my own mounts... The oil filter sits above the hole in frame... Can't deside weather I should get a pan from a 80s or 90s 460 and a set of swap mounts? The Bronco is a 95 or if I can get a couple more inches if I get a rear sump pan and cut the towers on the frame down a bit? Thanks
