We are having an external oil pump and drain back issue that we've never had before so it was pumping the oil pan dry and the efi would kill everything to save the motor. On our 4.69 pass it shut off at 4.44 seconds into the run and we peddled it due to the front end coming up a little faster than desired.
Nice I saw you run and in the lanes.

Agreed. We ended up watching from the camper at the eighth mile mark. It was crazy Saturday.
Wish I knew you was there would have introduced my self
I was there too. I cant believe the stock appearing cars that ran in the 4s!!!
Shit fire.... next time we all need to get together
I think we are going to build a nitrous X class car small block on 1 kit and see how we hold up
I agree. Let's get a thread going next year so we can all meet up. I might take a shot at 632 Outlaw after some of the bottom end et's.
Re: Lights out 7
I was thinking that the outlaw 632 might be a doable class for some of the cars on here.
What bumper , that's A BAD car. Will you be at the spring fling at Holley springs.
Prob could start a thread about that if there is interest from enough guys.

we are planning on coming to Holly Springs. We had an oil pump issue that the vendor is taking care of. Haven't made a 100% A-B pass yet with the new setup. It's going to run alright when we get oil pressure the entire run.
There were some extremely fast cars in every class there last week. Very cool to be a part of it.

I think that is an awesome class. We had those two red coupes in the class that ran decent. One on 235's went multiple 1.08-1.09 60's in the low 90's and the other one went three rounds with a TeX275 legal combination(actually only had a 36 jet in the fogger) running mid 80's. The latter one will run high 60's with a bigger jet with the converter and gear upgrade we are doing. We've done it in that car with another motor and a borrowed trans so the proof is in the pudding.

It's a pretty basic class. We'll be back running low 70's or high 60's with a customers car. Finally convinced car owner to change first gear in transmission, let me build him a converter and throw a gear in the rear to make the engine happy. Horsepower is not a problem with this combo!!

When is this race? I haven't heard when Holley Springs plan to be back up and running. It's only two hours from the house.
