Aftermarket Aluminum Heads--Not Pro Comp
Just throwing this out there to see if any of you gentlemen may have a second hand set of SCJs, Blue Thunders, TFS streets etc. laying around you'd care to turn loose of. Maybe you upgraded and have something from your old build sitting on the shelf or something. I know it's a long shot but just checking.
Thanks.
Bruce

Re: Aftermarket Aluminum Heads--Not Pro Comp
If you haven't found anything yet, I have a complete top end.
Original aluminum cobra jet heads with port work. Just freshened up last summer have two passes on them since.
Manley springs, 300# on the seat, 850# open, titanium retainers.
4150 Victor intake which is brand new.
1.73 rockers and stud girdle.
Ask for $2000
You can call or text me at 608-346-4015 if interested.
The parts are still on the engine.

Re: Aftermarket Aluminum Heads--Not Pro Comp
Thanks for the offer James but I don't need a complete engine, I already have enough pieces to bolt a 545 shortblock together. And, as always, I'm on an extremely tight budget with very little fun money for car stuff.

Re: Aftermarket Aluminum Heads--Not Pro Comp
I should add the heads don't need to be anything super-duper high-performance as they are going on a low RPM hydraulic cam street engine 545 designed to yank around a heavy '74 Cougar.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Aftermarket Aluminum Heads--Not Pro Comp
I have a set of A429 heads I'll be selling next month. Just put all new springs, locks and retainers in last weekend. Have flow data on them also. Will be looking to get $1300-$1400 for the set.
Re: Aftermarket Aluminum Heads--Not Pro Comp
Unfortunately the chambers are too small. I need something in the 95-100cc range.HorsinAround wrote:I have a set of A429 heads I'll be selling next month. Just put all new springs, locks and retainers in last weekend. Have flow data on them also. Will be looking to get $1300-$1400 for the set.
I have recently purchased a set of factory Police Interceptor iron heads which at 86cc are still too tight. If a set of aluminums don't show up before assembly begins, I'm afraid I'll be ordering new dished pistons.
Thanks for the offer.

I should add, the previous 545 was sold and I'm now assembling a 521 with flat tops--if I can get away with it.

Not sure what you are building, but I currently have these heads on on a 514 (4.150 stroke, .080 bore) with flat tops.

The engine is going in a heavy street car and needs to run on 91 pump gas.
