Thanks, finally got the front to stay down, after 2 bumpers, 1 set of headers, and oil pan. I think we had enough MPH for an 5.80 pass? This was with a sledge hammer plate with 78 jets, will go to an 84 jet next. The car would benefit from a 1.58 gear set, the 1.80 is pretty violent with the 3.89 rear gear.

With the 84's,  you should be able to knock that front split down 8-10 numbers so it should fly. By looking at your backsplit, you have enough power now to run 84-85 range pretty easily.

Yes, due to the fact that you will be able to leave on more power and it not be so violent on the starting line. It will also give you the option of changing rear gears to make the motor happier in high gear.

I have a another rear chunk with 3.50 gear, for the time being do you think they would be better than the 3.89? Tranny has 1.80.

that's what I have in mine chuck (3.55) with 1.80 in my pg! hope mine work out to, if not I have some 3.27 for the induction solution fogger!

I'd go the other way. Make high gear happy and your motor will live better.
